Lent is right around the corner. Can you believe it? It feels like Christmas was last week. As we try to navigate the second year of the pandemic, I want families to be able to celebrate Easter however they feel safest🐰. This is why we are putting together Easter bags! These bags will be available for pickup on Ash Wednesday, but will also be available throughout Lent.
We would love to drop one off to you if you can’t make it to church, just shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Some things included in the bag are:
- A Lent Adventures book
- Church invites to hand out to friends!
- Holy Week Theater Activity
- And more!
We meet Sundays at 10am. Social distancing guidelines are in place, and we are following the CDC’s
recommendations. We hope to be able to see your children’s smiling faces and be safe at the same time.
Our Children’s Ministry runs Sunday School classes every week using the Grow Curriculum for kindergarten to fifth graders. In our classes, we emphasize discipleship and bible teaching, as well as fun.
Each month we host an activity for kids or even the entire family. Our activities are both fun and educational while they teach the whole family about having a heart for giving and love for Jesus.
Some of our past events include:
Advent Workshop (Christmas),
Day in Jerusalem (Easter),
Vacation Bible School
We host a VBS every year that is open to the public. This summer, our VBS was online, so we could keep our volunteers and kids safe, but we hope to put on a
condensed in-person VBS using the Knights of North Castle curriculum this winter. Our VBS week always ends in a family day with water, food, and lots of fun!
Day School Chapel
Our children’s director teaches chapel in the sanctuary for the students at the Methodist Day School. Chapel is weekly and also follows the Grow curriculum. The session includes a short Bible lesson, singing, and dancing.
