BAPTISM IN WORSHIP
The Sacrament of Baptism is a requirement to join the United Methodist Church. If you have ever been baptized in another Christian denomination, that baptism is acceptable and there is no need to be re-baptized.
In the tradition of United Methodist Church, baptism is a crucial threshold we cross on our faith journey. Baptism is: (1) a sacrament of initiation into the catholic (universal) church, (2) a sign of God’s forgiveness and our new life in Jesus Christ, (3) the beginning of the growth process in grace that leads us to love God and neighbor and to follow Jesus, and, (4) a gift of God that is received as a sign of God’s love for us.
Let us be with you during this time of remembering and transition.
We are so excited that we can share in your special day. We offer a range of options to suit every couple’s needs.
No matter where you are in life, There is a place for you here.
Worship Volunteer Opportunities
In Service Volunteer
Every Sunday we need at least a half-dozen volunteers per worship service as ushers, greeters, readers, and sometimes communion servers. We would like to expand the volunteer pool, include more people, and share these important duties that help make our worship flow smoothly, and be welcoming and meaningful for all. Which of these roles could you do?
A team of at least seven people run the technical elements of Sunday worship. Teams serve one weekend a month in slide creation, live video, projection, sound, and lighting. Group training and individual coaching are available.
