A 4-Week Series on Wisdom

Youth Study: Wednesdays 6:30pm

Do the students in your ministry have goals? Yes? No? Not sure yet? Teenagers want to make a difference in the world, but to do that, they might need help clarifying their ambitions. This series will help them discover that they are designed for God-sized goals. Nehemiah grew to understand the tension of having a dream and pursuing it, because he had a big goal inspired by a big problem. Big goals and big problems, these are things in life that will continue to exist together. And sometimes, like Nehemiah, we can get stuck because God-sized goals require God-sized gratitude. Big difficulties can inspire God-sized goals, and God gives us strength to pursue God-sized goals.

Retreats & Trips

Each year we do as many retreats as we can.  In January, there is a stay-retreat here in Portland called ONE Weekend where we partner with other denomination churches in the area for a weekend of service, study and worship.  In February and July, we join other Methodist youth from around our Rio Texas Conference at Camp Eagle and Mt.Wesley for a retreat called REVIVE

Revive Winter Camp 2021: $175

Revive Winter Retreats are hosted each years at Camp Eagle near Rocksprings and at Mt Wesley in Kerrville with the purpose of making disciples for Jesus Christ and bringing revival to the youth of our region.
